Plants Med Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1996 by Dr. Rakesh K. Gautam and Mrs. Kalpana Sharma to provide safest, superior, and healthy Ayurvedic health, skin and hair care products for common health, skin and hair problems. Plants Med started its journey by manufacturing anti-stress and memory enhancing naturally caffeine free ayurvedic coffee, namely Ashwagandha Celestial Bru and Brahmi memory enhancing Bru and exporting these products to EU besides selling them in domestic market. These products are highly appreciated and liked by the consumers of Czech Republic and other nearby countries. Later, the herbalists, Ayurvedic physicians and Phytochemists of Plants Med Laboratories have successfully developed a number of patented Ayurvedic formulations such as herbal teas, fortified and balanced herbs capsules from the standardized extracts of most popular herbs of India, sexual health products, anti-obesity products and Ayurvedic massage oils. Plants Med is manufacturing patent and shashtrokta (products mentioned in ancient ayurvedic texts) Ayurvedic Products for more than a decade. Recently the nutritional scientists of the company have also developed some nutraceutical products. Plants Med is manufacturing patent ayurvedic products since more than a decade. We believe in Herbal Synergy- one word that separates Herbal or Ayurvedic health supplements from conventional medicine: Synergy. The whole plant produces a greater therapeutic effect than the equivalent dosage of isolated constituents that are greatly favoured in conventional medicines. Due to this reason we always use standardized extracts of botanicals in our Ayurvedic preparations.

Quality

The suitability of any system of medicine depends upon the genuineness and authenticity of drugs. We at Plants Med Laboratories believe in quality control by properly standardizing herbs, herbal extracts as well as our formulations. We have established quality control procedures for all formulations produced by us. Quality begins with the identification of herbs by Botanist. The herbs and herbal extracts used by us are then screened by Phytochemist for their active constituents. The quality control department conducts regular audits and inspections of manufacturers of ingredients used by us to ensure quality. Each batch of finished product is then analytically screened to ensure uniformity of different batches and stability of formulations. Before sending to the market the products are examined by analytical chemists and biologist using appropriate microbial and tests. The products are dispatched to the buyers only after a safety report from analytical wing of the company.

Research and Development

Research and Development is the important part of our various activities. Every Ayurvedic/Herbal dietary supplement that we manufacture is developed in house. Plants Med Laboratories is totally dedicated to develop new health supplements for prevention and cure of common diseases and to create the safest, economical, best and healthy herbal health, skin and hair care products.

Safety and Efficacy

The formulations of Plants Med contain standardized extracts of only those herbs which have long history of use and are generally regarded as safe as well as whose efficacy is validated by modern scientific research i.e. by in-vitro, in-vivo and clinical trials. The herbal extracts in our polyherbal formulations are mixed in right proportion as per ayurvedic treaties. Final formulation is then clinically trialed and submitted for registration at Directorate of Ayurveda, Ministry of Health, Government of Rajasthan, India. These formulations are then thoroughly screened and examined by the experts of Ayurveda and if found suitable are registered and allowed to be marketed.

About The Founders

• Dr. Rakesh Gautam, Managing Director, of Plants Med Laboratories, is an M. Sc, Ph.D. and has worked as Assistant Professor at M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Post doctoral fellow, Nagoya Institute of Technology, and as Guest Scientist at National Research Institute of Nagoya, Japan for five years. He has a vast research experience in the field of Chemistry. Dr. Gautam look after the development of new products as well as all work related to the R&D, safety and efficacy aspects. Due to his keen interest and investment in new research based products Plants Med has a large treasure of Herbal and nutraceutical patent formulations.
• Mrs. Kalpana Sharma after completing her Master in Social Sciences and Sanskrit has learned the art of Ayurveda from her Husband Dr. Mahesh Sharma, a leading herbalist and phytochemist of India. Due to her expertise in Sanskrit, she was able to provide insight of ancient ayurvedic text. Besides helping the R& D team by giving them insight of Vedic texts she looks after the administrative work of company.
